The Infrastructure Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls across Interswitch's infrastructure landscape. This includes securing cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring effective vulnerability management and supporting compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The role will work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security Operations teams to ensure a robust, scalable, and resilient security posture.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Implement and manage security solutions across enterprise systems, networks, and cloud environments.
Support infrastructure hardening and configuration management to align with organizational security standards.
Perform vulnerability assessments, maintain patch lifecycle across enterprise assets, coordinate remediation efforts, and track closure of identified risks.
Assist in designing and maintaining security architecture for cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises systems.
Collaborate with the Incident Response team during investigations and contribute to root cause analysis.
Engage relevant teams to ensure security processes automation and enforce compliance on the infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in regular security reviews, penetration testing exercises, and threat modeling activities.
Contribute to developing and maintaining infrastructure security standards, policies, and documentation.
Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies relevant to Interswitch's environment. Interswitch -


ROLE REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
3 - 6 years of experience in information or infrastructure security, preferably within financial technology or enterprise environments.
Experience implementing and managing security controls across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Knowledge of systems administration, network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
Familiarity with cloud security principles and services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
Hands-on experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible) for security enforcement.
Ability to analyze logs and security events and respond to incidents in collaboration with SOC teams.
Relevant certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Speciality, or equivalent
