About the role
You'll play an important role in ensuring the financial integrity of our insurance businesses by delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting statutory and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with the Financial Manager and a variety of internal stakeholders, you'll help produce meaningful financial information that supports both operational excellence and strategic decision-making.
Some of what you'll be doing includes:
Preparing month-end journals, reconciliations and financial reports
Producing accurate management accounts and financial reporting
Supporting the preparation of IFRS-compliant annual financial statements
Assisting with audits and regulatory reporting
Preparing VAT and income tax calculations
Managing partner-related financial reporting and settlements
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
Working collaboratively across finance and operational teams

Requirements
You'll be a great fit if you have:
Minimum Requirements
BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent)
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
Experience in financial accounting and month-end reporting
Experience preparing reconciliations and financial reports
Working knowledge of VAT and income tax
Sound understanding of IFRS
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using ERP or accounting systems
It'll be a bonus if you have:
2 - 5 years' post-articles experience
Experience within insurance or financial services
Budgeting and forecasting experience
Experience preparing IFRS annual financial statements
Exposure to Acumatica ERP
