Intern - Programme Support at UN-Habitat

Responsibilities
The intern will support the RPD Front Office in the following tasks:
Support divisional and corporate reporting requests, including consolidation and quality review of inputs from Regional and Country Offices
Assist in the oversight of regional and country portfolios, including tracking key activities, deliverables, and priorities and maintenance of relevant matrices and dashboards
Support coordination of RPD inputs to corporate processes and governing bodies, including preparation of briefing materials and timelines
Assist in ensuring coherence across RPD-HQ functions and alignment with other headquarters divisions
Facilitate structured information flows between headquarters and the field, including tracking requests, deadlines, and follow-up actions
Support data management, basic analysis, and data visualization, including the preparation or updating of dashboards, tables, and summaries
Contribute to cross-regional knowledge management and learning, including documentation of good practices and lessons learned
Support preparation of presentations, briefing notes, and background documents for RPD senior management
Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements:
Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher),
Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent),
Have graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent. Be computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
Have demonstrated a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter. Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which includes a willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
Preferred areas of study: International Development, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Management, Urban Studies, or a related field.
