RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Identify, assess, and monitor organizational risks, recommending appropriate mitigation measures and control improvements.
Evaluate governance, risk management, and internal control systems, and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities, and policy violations, and recommend preventive measures.
Prepare audit reports, present findings to Management and the Audit Committee, and track implementation of audit recommendations.
Provide advisory support on governance, risk management, internal controls, policy reviews, and the implementation of new systems and processes to promote operational efficiency and accountability
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, CIA, CISA, or an equivalent certification.
Membership in a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or external audit, preferably within the healthcare sector. Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, internal control systems, financial reporting, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in audit methodologies, data analysis, and computerized accounting systems
Excellent analytical, report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
