Edin & People Limited, a fast-growing real estate company in Abuja, is seeking a highly analytical, ethical and experienced Internal Control & Compliance Officer to strengthen our financial controls, ensure regulatory compliance and support sound corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities


Develop, implement and monitor internal control systems and policies.
Conduct periodic operational, financial and compliance reviews.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations and industry best practices.
Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and authorization.
Monitor the activities of the commission structures and verify sales documentation.
Identify control weaknesses and recommend practical solutions.
Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities or policy violations and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure compliance with tax, financial reporting and other regulatory obligations.
Prepare internal audit and compliance reports for Management.
Monitor adherence to procurement, payment, and approval processes.
Support Management in improving operational efficiency and safeguarding company assets.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or Accounting.
Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, and financial reporting.
Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, investigative and report-writing skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
