Role Summary
The Internal Control Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring internal control systems across the organization to ensure operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid background in internal control, audit, or risk management—preferably within the FMCG or Agro-Allied sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal control policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Conduct periodic risk assessments and identify control gaps across all business processes.
Review financial transactions and operational activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Lead investigations of control breaches, irregularities, or non-compliance issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen process controls and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare and present internal control reports to management with recommendations for improvement.
Support external and internal audit exercises, ensuring all findings are promptly addressed.
Train staff on internal control processes and promote a strong culture of compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, or related field with 3 - 5 years' experience in internal control, audit, or risk management.
Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA (mandatory or strongly preferred).
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or Agro-Allied industry is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO, ICOFR).
Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
