Job Responsibilities
Analyze sales and inventory data to forecast demand and uncover brand-level buying patterns.
Monitor stock movement to identify slow-moving, obsolete, and fast-moving items, recommending clearance strategies or inter-branch transfers where necessary.
Track and analyze inventory shrinkage trends (e.g., theft, damages, administrative discrepancies) and support loss prevention initiatives.
Prepare and present accurate inventory reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
Maintain optimal stock levels by balancing inventory availability to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
Evaluate the performance of new product launches using data-driven insights.
Collaborate with the procurement/buying team to determine appropriate purchase order quantities based on demand forecasts and trends.
Support finance in inventory valuation, cost analysis, and reconciliation processes.
Develop and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into stock health and key inventory metrics.
Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support promotions, pricing strategies, and other business initiatives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in data analysis within a retail or similar data-driven environment.
Relevant industry exposure in Retail Analytics, FMCG, Supply Chain, or Financial Services (data-focused roles preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data modeling and analysis).
Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Sage, Oracle, or SAP.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) is an added advantage.
Strong capability in forecasting, trend analysis, and data interpretation.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
