Job Summary:


The Inventory Controller for Raw and Packaging Materials manages all inventory categories to ensure accuracy, availability, and optimal stock levels across Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM).


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or arelated field. 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:


Raw Materials & Packaging Management:
Maintain optimal levels of raw materials and packaging to support production.
Coordinate with procurement for timely ordering, delivery, and quality assurance.
Inventory Management, Auditing & Reporting:
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and maintain accurate records via inventory software.
Generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and discrepancies.
Manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory, implementing clearance or disposal strategies. Forecasting & Planning:
Use historical data and market trends to forecast demand for RM and PM, including imports.
Align inventory with production and market needs through cross-department collaboration. Quality Control & Compliance:
Apply rigorous quality control measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Address quality issues promptly with suppliers or internal teams.
Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for reliable deliveries.
Negotiate terms to optimize procurement processes.
Space Optimization:
Organize storage to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
Implement shelving and labelling systems for easy item retrieval.
Process Improvement:
Continuously enhance inventory management processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Train and supervise inventory staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
