Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Inventory Manager to oversee stock management across the company's operations.
The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, proper stock movement, timely stock counts, and effective control of inventory losses and discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of all stock received, sold, transferred, returned, or damaged.
Receive and verify products against invoices and delivery documents.
Monitor stock levels across branches and ensure timely replenishment.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Track and document inter-branch stock transfers.
Identify and investigate stock shortages, excesses, damages, and discrepancies.
Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete products.
Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for Management.
Ensure proper storage and organisation of products.
Work with the Accountant and Branch Managers to reconcile inventory and sales records.
Implement measures to reduce stock losses, theft, damages, and revenue leakage.
Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions.
Support inventory audits and other stock-related activities.
Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Inventory record accuracy.
Reduction in stock shortages and unexplained variances.
Timely completion of stock counts and reports.
Accuracy of stock transfers and adjustments.
Reduction in damaged, lost, and obsolete stock.
Proper documentation of inventory transactions.
Compliance with inventory procedures and controls.
Requirements
OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
2 - 3 years of experience in inventory, stock control, warehouse, or retail operations.
Experience in electronics or multi-branch retail is an advantage.
Good knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
