The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory control activities, ensuring accurate inventory records, effective stock management, and compliance with established accounting and supply chain standards. The role involves managing inventory reconciliation, conducting stock audits, investigating discrepancies, and collaborating with relevant teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of inventory accounting principles, and experience using ERP systems and inventory management tools.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
Conduct physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
Analyze, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, inventory policies, and supply chain standards.
Monitor inventory movements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Warehouse, and other relevant teams to optimize inventory management processes.
Support the implementation and improvement of inventory control procedures.
Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in inventory accounting, inventory control, or related roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, inventory management practices, and standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
