Qualifications and experience required for the Investment Operations Manager:
Completed Bachelor's Degree in a related field (i.e., finance accounting or investments)
3-5 years' experience working within asset management
Demonstrated exposure to coordinating or leading teams within an operational context
Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions alongside comprehensive knowledge of investment administration systems
Experience in process improvement initiatives coupled with proven stakeholder engagement skills
A track record of supporting risk identification efforts while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Ability to manage budgetsresponsibly within an operational setting
Key duties of the Investment Operations Manager:
Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for administering diverse investment products, including Private Equities, Structured Products, Fixed Income Instruments and other off-market investments.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
Manage team performance through coaching, feedback and tailored development plans while addressing skill gaps with targeted training initiatives
Oversee the execution of operational strategies, ensuring efficient administration of investment processes such as cash, scrip and unit reconciliations, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Drive process improvements and support seamless project delivery by participating in change initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, providing expert advice on investment administration matters, building strong client relationships and supporting risk mitigation efforts to optimise efficiency and ensure superior outcomes.
