Job purpose
The IT Administrator is responsible for monitoring IT operations to ensure that enterprise networks and security systems perform at optimal levels. The role evaluates, recommends and leads the implementation of networking and security solutions.
Responsibilities
Manage, upgrade, and maintain IT hardware, servers, operating systems, and enterprise networks (LAN/WAN).
Ensure continuous, reliable network operations and monitor fire and access control systems.
Document system configurations, changes, and procedures.
Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts, permissions, and cloud storage provisioning.
Ensure security, availability, and optimal use of cloud-based systems and services. Monitor and support Microsoft Dynamics NAV and enterprise applications.
Manage and administer Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to support database operations.
Deploy and manage security tools including BitLocker, VPNs, identity agents, and antivirus solutions
Monitor systems for security breaches, review logs, and perform regular security scans
Provide technical and backend support to business units, Helpdesk teams and IT Administrators.
Monitor and resolve ServiceDesk (jira) tickets, providing remote and on-site support
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related fields
Strong expertise in Windows Server and workstation operating systems, Microsoft 365 and server environments
Microsoft Certified Professional (Solution Expert, Associate)
Advanced knowledge of active Directory (Azure AD, and On-Prem), DNS, SSO, AD Certificate Services and windows-based management services
Linux Certified Administrator, CompTIA, Networking or ITIL, CCNA will be an added advantage
4 - 6 years' experience in a similar role
Good communication and documentation skills
Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation and within cross-functional teams
