Job Summary
The IT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, systems, network, and technical support services.
The role ensures optimal system performance, data security, business continuity, and efficient use of technology resources across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management:
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
Monitor and maintain network systems (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls).
Ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity across branches.
Oversee server management, system backups, and recovery processes.
Maintain CCTV systems and access control systems (where applicable).
Technical Support:
Provide first-level technical support to staff.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly.
Maintain an IT helpdesk log for tracking issues and resolutions.
Ensure timely resolution of user complaints.
Data Security & Compliance:
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures.
Ensure regular system updates and antivirus protection.
Manage user access controls and password policies.
Safeguard company data and ensure confidentiality.
IT Policy & Governance:
Enforce IT and Acceptable Use Policies.
Monitor internet usage and prevent unauthorized access.
Recommend improvements to IT policies and procedures.
Vendor & Asset Management:
Liaise with internet service providers and IT vendors.
Maintain IT asset register (laptops, desktops, routers, etc.).
Monitor software licenses and subscriptions.
Ensure cost-effective procurement of IT equipment.
Business Continuity:
Perform regular system backups.
Develop disaster recovery procedures.
Ensure minimal downtime in case of system failure.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree with 3 years experience.
