Key Responsibilities of an IT Support Assistant
Technical Support: Resolves user issues with software, hardware, and networks (e.g., printers, laptops, VPN, and email problems) via walk-ins, email, or remote tools.
Hardware and Software Setup: Installs, configures, and updates workstations, operating systems, and applications for employees.
Maintenance & Security: Monitors systems to ensure proper function, applies security patches, updates antivirus software, and maintains inventory of equipment.
Account Administration: Creates, updates, and manages user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
Documentation & Training: Creates, updates, and maintains documentation, technical guides, or FAQs for hardware/software use.
IT Infrastructure Support: Assists in organizing and maintaining the server room or network infrastructure, including troubleshooting connectivity.
