We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team in building high-performance embedded financial infrastructure.
You will be responsible for architecting and implementing the "engine" behind a new digital lending and payment ecosystem.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys complex logic, API-first design, and building systems that handle high-volume financial transactions with "bank-grade" security.
Key Responsibilities
Core Engine Development: Design and build robust, scalable back-end services using Java to power embedded financial products.
Architecture: Lead the development of RESTful APIs that enable seamless integration between our platform, merchants, and third-party financial service providers.
Financial Logic: Implement complex modules for settlement, automated reconciliation, and repayment tracking.
System Integration: Integrate with identity verification services and payment gateways to ensure a secure and automated user lifecycle.
Security & Scalability: Ensure the platform is designed for high availability, low latency, and full data encryption.
Required Skills & Experience:
Expert Java Knowledge: 5+ years of professional experience building enterprise-grade applications in Java.
Fintech Experience: Prior experience in lending, digital wallets, or payment switch environments is highly preferred.
Integration Expertise: Proven track record of working with complex 3rd party APIs and managing technical edge cases.
Database & Security: Strong understanding of relational databases and modern security protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Problem Solving: Ability to translate complex business rules into clean, maintainable technical specifications.
What Success Looks Like:
First 3 Months: Successfully deliver the core API modules and integrate primary financial service providers.
First 6 Months: Launch a stable sandbox environment for merchant testing and support the initial production pilot.
