Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule and control joinery production
Allocate work and resources through Production Supervisors
Drive productivity and on-time delivery
Identify production bottlenecks
Optimise labour, machinery and production capacity
Oversee quality inspections and final sign-off
Reduce rework, rejects and material wastage
Read and interpret CAD and technical drawings
Manage supervisors, performance, discipline and training
Manage overtime and workforce planning
Ensure safe machinery operation and OHS compliance
Monitor labour, materials, consumables and departmental costs
Minimum Requirements
10+ years' experience in joinery, cabinetmaking, shopfitting or timber manufacturing
Proven experience managing supervisors and sizeable production teams
Strong ability to read CAD drawings, technical specifications and cutting instructions
Hands-on knowledge of MDF, chipboard, melamine, laminates, solid surface, glass, Perspex, Duco/2K and related materials
Strong quality-control capabilities
Experience with production planning and bottleneck resolution
Trade-tested Cabinetmaker / Joiner / Master Craftsman advantageous
Retail fixture experience highly advantageous
Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required
