Junior Data Analyst (Western Cape) at Flash Group

Job Role:


To support business teams by analysing data, building reports and dashboards, and translating data into clear insights that inform operational and commercial decision-making.


Responsibilities:


Analyse operational and performance data
Build and maintain dashboards and standard reports
Perform data quality checks and validation
Support ad-hoc data requests from the business
Translate business questions into analytical tasks
Assist with hypothesis testing and trend analysis
Document data definitions and assumptions
Collaborate with BI and Data Engineering teams
Continuously improve analytical skills and tools
Present insights in a clear and structured manner.


Requirements

Requirements:


Qualification: 3-year degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or similar will be advantageous.
Experience: 1-3 years in a data, analytics or reporting role (internships included)
Systems: Excel, Power BI; SQL or Python advantageous


Required Knowledge / Technical Skills:


Data cleaning, validation and basic modelling techniques
SQL for querying structured datasets
Power BI dashboard and report development
Excel-based analysis (pivots, formulas, data modelling)
Basic understanding of data structures and databases
Foundational statistical concepts and trend analysis
