Junior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

• A Junior Electrical Engineer role based in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, suited to an early-career engineer who wants to build practical experience in electrical power systems and design.
• The position involves supporting engineering work across power distribution, drawings, cabling, switchgear, transformers and protection principles, with scope to develop familiarity with industry design tools.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering work related to power systems, including cabling, switchgear, transformers and protection principles.
• Prepare, review and interpret electrical drawings, and use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office to support day-to-day engineering tasks.
• Assist with design and documentation activities, applying electrical design tools where relevant. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure technical work is accurate and consistent with project requirements.

• Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting
• Procurement & Technical Documentation.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience, or recent graduate with industrial training, internship or SIWES experience
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems, electrical drawings, cabling, switchgear, transformers and protection principles
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

• Exposure to ETAP, Revit or other electrical design tools.
