Our client in the mining industry is seeking a motivated recent graduate to work closely with the Managing Director. The role offers exposure to financial analysis, operational performance monitoring, business management, project coordination, and strategic planning.
The scope of responsibilities may be adjusted to align with the successful candidate's qualifications and skills. If the candidate holds a law degree with a strong financial component, the role may also include legal responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (BCom or related qualification) with a strong financial component, such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or similar.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
Willingness to travel to mines as and when required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Managing Director on operational and strategic projects.
Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Assist with the development and maintenance of financial models.
Prepare efficiency and performance reports.
Conduct costing analyses and assist with budget preparation.
Support project planning, implementation, and progress tracking.
Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and service providers.
Assist with business planning and operational decision-making.
Compile management reports and presentations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by management.
