We are looking for an efficient Junior Payroll Administrator (12 month fixed term contract) to join our team and be responsible for all aspects of managing employee salary data, ensuring timesheets are accurate and payments are made on time.
Payroll Administrator responsibilities include managing all aspects of payroll, and they must accomplish required tasks promptly.
In this position, you will report to the Senior Payroll Specialist.
This position is mainly located in Centurion, Gauteng.
TEAM YOU WILL BELONG TO
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Employees, External Consultants, Insurance Brokers and Metso Management.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Capturing of new appointments/ resignations, travel allowance changes on VIP
Updating of employee salary changes on the system
Capturing of bonus payments and 13th cheque payments
Processing Directors salaries on quarterly basis
Capturing of overtime, garnishee deductions and provident fun information
Processing of staff advances
Processing of fuel slips and licences reimbursement
Cell phone refunds with private accounts
Monitor the ABSA fuel, maintenance and motor vehicle insurances for employees on monthly basis
WHO ARE YOU?
Matric (Grade 12)
Certificate in payroll administration, VIP Sage payroll experience is issential
Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs
WHAT SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS (HARD AND SOFT) ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE?
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good time management and organizational skills
Be able to carry out all procedures with speed and accuracy
Resolving payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries
Ability to work independently
Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
