About the Role
To lead the retail channel development and grow Brand Concept Stores Ltd business in a specific region, expansion of retail outlet coverage that covers neighbourhood stores, restaurants, hotels, small size supermarkets, etc.
This role entails identifying the outlet universe for coverage in Lagos, develop the route plans in order to systematically cover those outlets, recruit and train the Reps to drive the development of disciplined outlet coverage model that will foster future growth of the brands in the retail channel.
This team lead will review the quality of coverage and Rep performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to drive Rep productivity and grow sales.This role will work closely with all functions ie., Sales, HR, Operations, Logistics/Distribution, Marketing, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute mass retail coverage strategy that aligns with overall corporate goals.
Develop the retail outlet database, analyze and develop outlet coverage plans
Lead and manage retail sales team in Lagos region with a possibility of expansion to other regions in Nigeria.
Oversee Retail sales reps and develop efficient retail outlet coverage plan.
Field accompaniment with the Sales Reps in order to develop the routes and activate the outlets to stock and sell our products.
Use the data and dashboard to critically analyse Rep performance leading to performance improvements.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth outlet coverage operation.
Drive trade marketing and promotional campaigns to support the sales and growth of retail/merchant network.
Ability to use insights to refine assortments and pricing
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
8+ years of experience in Retail distribution in FMCG company with proven track record of developing the mass retail channel in the Lagos region
Strong leadership skills with hands-on past experience of doing such job,
Excellent analytical and commercial negotiation abilities.
Operational mindset with ability to execute strategy on the ground.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
