Our client, a market leader in the Printing and Packaging industry is looking to hire a Key Accounts Manager, based in Durban
The successful candidate will be reporting into the Regional Sales Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive and exceed annual regional sales targets through strategic account management and new business development.
Grow revenue by strengthening existing customer relationships while aggressively identifying and securing new sales opportunities.
Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and solution presentation to negotiation and deal closure.
Plan and execute structured call schedules to maximise customer engagement, coverage, and sales performance.
Lead and manage customer projects from initial concept through to successful delivery, including post-implementation reviews, in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager.
Proactively introduce innovative products, solutions, and value-added initiatives to increase customer spend and loyalty.
Build strong internal relationships with factory management and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, professionally resolving queries and complaints to protect relationships and revenue.
Maintain accurate sales administration, reporting, and forecasting to support performance tracking and decision-making.
Take on additional responsibilities as required to support business growth and sales objectives, aligned with skills and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Grade 12
Post Graduate qualification would be an advantage
Relevant experience within the printing and packaging or related industries
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
A minimum of two years' hands-on experience in an internal and/or external sales role, with direct customer engagement considered a strong advantage.
Sound understanding of folding carton manufacturing or related packaging solutions would be highly advantageous.
Strong costing and pricing skills, with the ability to develop competitive and profitable proposals.
Professional and confident telephone manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively within a diverse working environment.
Ability to perform under pressure, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
