Brief Description:
The Lead Electrician is responsible for providing technical leadership and hands-on supervision in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems across industrial and commercial projects. The role ensures that all electrical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory regulations, approved drawings, and company standards. The Lead Electrician oversees electricians and apprentices, coordinates project resources, enforces safety compliance, and delivers high-quality electrical solutions that meet project timelines and organizational objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
Essential
Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience as an Electrician in an industrial or commercial environment, with proven leadership or supervisory exposure.
Possession of a Journeyman Card or ability to obtain and maintain one within 90 days of employment.
Strong proficiency in sizing conductors and conduits, and practical application of the NEC Code Book.
Demonstrated experience handling low, medium, and high voltage systems; medium voltage experience is an added advantage.
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in installing, commissioning, and motor controls, drives, and electronic components.
Advanced ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Proven capability in electrical equipment installation, system upgrades, and circuit modifications.
