Responsibilities
Attend post tender and pre-award meetings with clients to answer any queries or to get a better understanding of requirements.
Lead the proposal process, including the preparation of bids and proposals.
Develop and manage cost estimates for projects.
Review requests for proposal (RFPs) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and report on project costs, including forecasting and budgeting
Prepare cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data.
Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis
Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
Compiling and recording actual costs
Ensure that proposals are compliant with the client's specifications and guidelines.
Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and alignment with RFP requirements.
Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and cost data.
Analyze project specifications, plans, and requirements to determine resource needs.
Review technical content for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and submit proposals within established deadlines.
Participate in Tenders preparation and submission (Pre-qualification, Technical and Commercial)
Project Planning: Develop detailed project schedules, outlining tasks, timelines, and milestones.
Resource Planning: Identify and allocate resources required for project tasks, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and address unforeseen challenges.
Assess potential risks to project timelines and budgets.
Monitor and track project progress against established schedules.
Collect and analyse data from various sources to identify deviations and take corrective actions.
Provide support to Project Management team in reporting progress status, progress plan Vs Actual, forecast, critical path, float, slacks and Close Out report
Participate in post-project reviews to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Contribute to the refinement of planning processes and the enhancement of project execution.
Other Requirements
Must have experience in bidding and tendering, understand Nipex, DPR and /or Bureau of Procurement/MDAs bidding/tendering processes. Have a clear understanding of bidding with oil and gas servicing companies and / or Power Transmission / Distribution companies as a Proposal Engineer or Manager.
Membership of COREN, NSE or Relevant Professional Body will be of added advantage.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, Visio, PDF; knowledge of use of AutoCAD will be of added advantage.
