PhD in Applied Linguistics froma recognized University (research focused, exploring how languages interact with the real-world issues).
Have a Minimum of 24 publication points of which 16 should be from refereed journal papers.
Be registered with the relevant professional body where applicable.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrate teaching experience at university level in Applied Linguistics or language-related courses.
Evidence of research activity or potential (publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects).
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse academic environment. Expertise in one or more of the following: second language acquisition, language assessment/testing, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis. sociolinguistics, bilingualism/multilingualism, English for Academic Purposes. Experience in: 1. E-learning platforms, blended learning, and innovative teaching
methods including Al.
Supervising postgraduate students and contributing to programme development.
Language Education and Teaching of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
Sociolinguistics (how language interacts with the community needs).
