Legal and Compliance Officer at Veritasi Homes and Properties Limited

Salary: ₦350,000 - ₦450,000

About the Role

We are looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer to support the Legal Department in managing the company's legal affairs and keeping the business compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities


Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents
Support property transactions and title documentation, including due diligence
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the company complies with relevant laws and industry regulations
Develop, implement and monitor internal compliance policies and procedures
Coordinate with external counsel on litigation and other legal matters
Maintain accurate legal records, registers and documentation
Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams
Support the Head of Legal with any other tasks assigned


Requirements


LL.B and B.L., and called to the Nigerian Bar
Minimum of 4 years post-call experience
Strong skills in drafting, research and negotiation
Good knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance
Excellent attention to detail, communication and time management
Real estate experience is an added advantage
