The purpose of this position is to provide paralegal assistance by contacting clients to confirm instructions where necessary, and service them at the Germiston Branch. To assist members with legal advice and paralegal solutions to common problems, within the Company's set parameters and Membership Agreement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Confirmation of Instructions and providing Legal Advice and Paralegal Assistance to members
Consulting members telephonically in order to confirm instructions where this isnecessary. to take instructions and to provide legal advice and paralegal assistance to members.
Correspondence Management
Attend to incoming and outgoing correspondence from and to members or third parties.
General Administration
Attend to general administrative tasks associated with legal and non-legal matters.
Providing Feedback to clients
Ensuring that clients receive regular updates and feedback on their existing matters.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM CRITERIA AND PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES
Education :Matric and National Cert/Diploma in Paralegal Studies / MENU 1 (internal applicants)
Experience :At least 1year experience in a legal environment.
Legal Interns: Must have completed a minimum of 6 months internship, coupled with a signed off POE, and must have completed all core legal trainings
