Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to support the organization's legal, contractual, and governance activities.
The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, advising internal stakeholders on legal risks, and ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, Service Level Agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, and Data Processing Agreements.
Provide practical legal advisory support to business teams, identifying contractual risks and guiding commercial decision-making.
Develop, maintain, and enhance contract templates, standard clauses, and legal playbooks to ensure consistency and risk mitigation.
Support data protection and privacy initiatives, including conducting DPIAs and reviewing data processing arrangements for compliance.
Assist with corporate governance activities, including preparation of board resolutions, powers of attorney, and maintenance of statutory registers.
Manage external counsel engagements, monitor legal spend, and support litigation, dispute resolution, and pre-litigation matters.
Collaborate with the Compliance function to draft policies and provide regulatory advisory support, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and industry standards.
