KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS


Accuracy and Timeliness in accomplishment of Legal tasks ensuring completeness and currency of personnel files for HQ and the subsidiaries.
Compliance and adherence to company policies.
Effective Communication and team work.
100% Legal and Statutory Compliance in the HQ and Subsidiaries.
Prompt implementation of post-internal audit corrective action by all schemes.
Working knowledge of labour and tax laws for the head-office and the other subsidiaries.


Duties and Responsibilities Include:


Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations and company policies in all the subsidiaries.
Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance while protecting the company's interests.
Stay abreast of changes in the employment laws and regulations and provide sound advisory and training to management and employees.
Assist in handling employee grievances and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Mediate and resolve conflicts among employees and teams to promote a positive work environment.
Ensure zero legal disputes resulting from non-compliance.
Frequently conduct compliance audits to ensure the company is compliant with relevant legal requirements.
Assist the HR Manager in maintaining up-to-date employee records.
Work closely with the QMR and Internal Audit team to ensure closure of all internal audit queries and non-compliances in all schemes.

Qualifications and Experience


Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field; an LLB or paralegal qualification is preferred. Additional qualification in HR will be an added advantage.
3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, legal operations, or transactional support role. Ideally with exposure to the service industry.
Demonstrated ability to run legal work streams independently and with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with close attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to work effectively with external counsel, consultants, and non-legal stakeholders. Cross-cultural experience will be of added advantage.
Proactive and well organized with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
High integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling legal and human resource information.
A team player with good interpersonal skills.
