Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of cars, vans, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles.
The ideal candidate will ensure vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, with experience across gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and emerging electric systems.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Carry out repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and electrical systems.
Perform routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, tyre rotations, brake servicing, and general inspections.
Test drive vehicles to confirm proper functionality after repairs.
Supervise and coordinate junior technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Requirements
Minimum of SSCE; additional automotive technical training is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a mechanic.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, engines, and modern vehicle electronics.
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or within a team.
