The Role
We are seeking a results-driven and community-oriented Loan Officer. In this role, you will be the face of our company, working directly with clients to identify financial needs, evaluate creditworthiness, and manage a healthy loan portfolio. Your goal is to help our clients grow while maintaining the financial integrity of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Proactively identify and recruit potential clients through community outreach, networking, and field visits.
Loan Assessment: Conduct thorough interviews and site visits to evaluate clients' business operations, financial standing, and character.
Credit Analysis: Prepare detailed loan appraisals and documentation for credit committee review.
Portfolio Management: Monitor active loans, ensure timely repayments, and build long-term relationships with borrowers.
Financial Literacy: Provide basic financial guidance to clients to help them manage their credit effectively.
Compliance: Ensure all loan processing activities adhere to the company's credit policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2 years of experience in microfinance, banking, or sales is preferred.
Skills: * Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and spend significant time in the field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
