Job Description
The Loan Recovery Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely repayment of loans.
The role focuses on engaging customers, understanding their challenges, and applying effective recovery strategies to minimize losses while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Contact customers with overdue loans via calls, messages, or approved communication channels.
Follow up consistently on delinquent accounts to ensure payments are made.
Educate customers on the importance of repayment and consequences of non-payment.
Negotiate repayment within company policies (no unauthorized restructuring).
Track and monitor customer payment behavior and update records accurately.
Escalate high-risk or unresponsive customers according to company procedures.
Maintain professionalism and use a "soft touch" approach during all interactions.
Meet assigned recovery targets and performance metrics.
Document all interactions and actions taken on customer accounts.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / NCE / OND / SSCE qualification.
