The Logistics Coordinator will manage, monitor and optimize the movement of goods, materials and inventory across the organization's supply chain. This role ensures timely delivery, accurate stock management and seamless coordination between suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Plan, schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods in line with customer and internal requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and warehouses to resolve delivery and stock issues.
Optimize routes, schedules, and shipment methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Team Management & People Leadership
Supervise, coordinate, and support logistics staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
Allocate tasks, set daily priorities, and monitor individual and team performance.
Coach, mentor, and train team members to improve productivity, accuracy, and compliance.
Enforce discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies and SOPs.
Conduct performance staff appraisals and development plans.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation including delivery notes, invoices, waybills, and customs paperwork (if applicable).
Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, regulatory requirements, and transport guidelines.
Report discrepancies, delays, damages, or losses immediately and propose corrective actions.
Communication & Collaboration
Serve as the point of contact between warehouse staff, suppliers, transporters, and internal teams (Procurement, Finance, Sales, etc.).
Provide regular updates on delivery status, stock availability, and delivery performance.
Address and resolve logistics-related complaints or queries promptly.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and inventory reports.
Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain and recommend improvements.
Assist in implementing best practices in logistics operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and proactive mindset.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
