Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations in Kano State.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage logistics personnel and third-party vendors effectively.
Job Description
Plan, implement, and manage logistics strategies to support production and distribution operations
Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and inventory management activities
Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory control to prevent shortages or overstocking
Liaise with suppliers, distributors, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
Supervise logistics staff and ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety standards
Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain
Prepare logistics reports and analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Optimize costs related to transportation, storage, and distribution
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
4 - 6 years' experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably within the food manufacturing sector
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Must reside in Kano State and be available for immediate resumption
