Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Officer to join our dynamic operations team. This role is critical to our success, combining strategic fleet management, vehicle maintenance coordination, and efficient order delivery operations. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise inlogistics with a strong understanding of medical supply chain requirements and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management:


Oversee and manage the company's vehicle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained and road-worthy
Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely vehicle servicing
Maintain detailed fleet records including registration, insurance, and inspection documents
Optimize fleet utilization to reduce operational costs and improve delivery efficiency
Manage vehicle acquisition, disposal, and replacement planning


Car Maintenance Coordination:


Liaise with approved service centers and mechanics for vehicle repairs and maintenance
Track maintenance costs and budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality
Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle inspections and servicing
Monitor vehicle warranty claims and manage repair documentation
Respond to vehicle breakdowns promptly and coordinate alternative transport arrangements
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and create preventive maintenance schedules


Order Delivery Operations:


Coordinate and schedule order deliveries to healthcare facilities, hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics
Ensure all medical supplies and equipment are properly packaged and handled during transport
Track shipments in real-time and provide customers with accurate delivery updates
Optimize delivery routes to minimize transit time and fuel costs while maintaining service quality
Ensure compliance with healthcare delivery standards and cold chain requirements where applicable
Manage delivery documentation, including delivery confirmations and customer signatures


Healthcare System Coordination:


Understand and comply with healthcare industry regulations and standards
Communicate effectively with hospital logistics departments, pharmacy managers, and healthcare facility administrators
Ensure deliveries meet healthcare facility operating hours and specific requirements
Handle urgent and emergency deliveries with appropriate priority and care
Maintain relationships with key healthcare clients and address logistics-related concerns


General Operations:


Prepare detailed logistics reports and performance metrics for management
Monitor and manage transportation costs and departmental budgets
Ensure all drivers comply with traffic regulations and safety protocols
Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and customer service departments
Implement and maintain logistics information systems and tracking software
Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives


Education & Certification


Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Valid driver's license
Professional certification in Logistics Management or Fleet Management is advantageous


Experience:


3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or fleet management roles
Proven experience working within the healthcare industry logistics or medical supply distribution is an advantage.
Demonstrated expertise in fleet management, vehicle maintenance coordination, and order delivery operations
Experience with facility operations and understanding of medical supply requirements


Technical Skills:


Proficiency in logistics management software and transportation tracking systems
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and fleet optimization
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
