BGE (Nigeria) Solar FZE is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage and streamline our supply chain, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and material dispatch operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth import of manufacturing equipment and raw materials, as well as the efficient distribution of finished products.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate end-to-end import/export logistics, including shipping schedules, freight tracking, and port clearance procedures.
Manage relationships with clearing agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies (Customs, NEPZA, Standards Organization, etc.).
Prepare, inspect, and verify all essential logistics documentation (Form M, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin).
Oversee warehouse inventory movement, loading/unloading operations, and inland transport fleet routing.
Track shipment delivery timelines and resolve delays, custom holds, or transit issues proactively.
Monitor logistics costs, audit freight invoices, and implement cost-saving measures across the supply chain.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Nigerian customs procedures, port clearance regulations, and Free Zone operational guidelines.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics software/ERP systems for inventory tracking and report generation.
Attributes: Strong negotiation abilities, detail-oriented mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
