What you'll do
Assist with daily maintenance tasks and general upkeep of the warehouse and related facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
Identify, report, and support the resolution of maintenance issues and defects in a timely manner.
Carry out basic repairs, installations, and routine maintenance activities as required.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and maintenance areas to ensure safety and functionality.
Ensure warehouse systems and facilities are kept functional and well maintained through proactive support.
Promptly report maintenance-related incidents, faults, and defects to the appropriate authorities.
Notify the Risk and Facilities Team Lead of any security or facility-related incidents without delay.
Comply with company policies and procedures relating to maintenance activities and facility management.
Assist in identifying areas requiring maintenance or attention and escalate recurring or unresolved issues appropriately.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment at all times.
What you bring
Grade 12 (Matric) certification is essential.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in maintenance, facilities management, technical support, or a related field.
Basic understanding of general maintenance procedures and facilities operations.
Possession of a technical or maintenance-related qualification or certificate is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to maintenance and facilities environments.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and management.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to undertake additional training and develop technical expertise related to the role.
