Key Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the Facilities Handymen to maintain the buildings and grounds.
The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for prioritizing and organizing own work to maintain internal and external building infrastructure on a daily basis.
Assist with asset transfers and any other facilities management services as requested by the Facilities Handyman or Supervisor.
The Maintenance Assistant will perform relieving duties for the Driver and Postal/ Store man in their absence.
Adhere to health, safety and environment regulations and organizational policies and procedures
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and safe working procedures.
Assist with urgent and emergency maintenance requirements when required.
Perform any other reasonable maintenance and facilities-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Remuneration
R 125 928 per annum
Requirements
Job Requirements
Matric or Equivalent
Minimum of 3 to 5 years' relevant experience
Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and air conditioning experience
Valid Driver's License (Code 8 or 10)
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
Added Advantage:
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principles would be advantageous.
Relevant maintenance-related qualification or trade-related training would be advantageous.
