Job Purpose


The programme offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills in the transport rail manufacturing industry. Participants will experience a dynamic and challenging work environment, collaborating with various teams across the organization. The role includes servicing and maintaining high‑quality products, as well as supporting the monitoring of compliance with Gibela's requirements and standards.


Key Responsibilities


Support development of engineering documents including maintenance instructions, technical reports, and training documents.
Assisted with ISR/ILS activities during DFQ phase
Contributed to maintenance plan optimisation through data analysis, task validation, and feedback from operations and depot teams.
Support failure investigations during defects
Support with technical guidance during maintenance activities
Participated process audits, and Return of Experience (REX) reporting to enhance maintenance quality
Assisted in BoM updates, parts identification, obsolescence management, and continuous improvement of maintenance execution


Minimum Requirements


B-Tech/Advanced Diploma/BEngTech: (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
B Eng/ BSc ( Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics): will be advantageous
No previous work experience
South African citizen between 18 and 35 years of age
Excellent communicate skills in English
MS Office literate
