Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Maintenance Manager for our roofing and ceiling manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead the electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance teams. Your primary focus will be optimizing the reliability, uptime, and efficiency of our injection, extrusion, and blow molding machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery & Equipment Reliability
Oversee the proactive and reactive maintenance of all heavy-duty plastic molding lines, including extruders, injection molding presses, and blow molding equipment
Troubleshoot complex PLC systems, AC/DC drives, control panels, and automation software intrinsic to production lines.
Manage the upkeep of auxiliary equipment such as industrial chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, and material handling systems.
Develop and execute rigorous PM schedules tailored to wear-and-tear patterns of extrusion and molding dies
Lead RCA investigations into equipment failures and downtime to implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
Spearhead upgrades to production lines to enhance output rates, product quality (roofing sheets, ceiling tiles), and energy efficiency.
Budgeting & Inventory Control
Prepare and manage the annual maintenance department budget, optimizing spending on labor and major overhauls.
Establish a critical spares inventory program to ensure zero production downtime due to unavailable electrical or mechanical components.
Recruit, train, and mentor a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians and engineers.
Enforce strict health and safety procedures, particularly regarding high-voltage electrical panels, hydraulic systems, and hot plastics processing environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Bachelor of Engineering- Electrical/Electronics Engineer ( with expertise in injection, extrusion, and blow molding machines within the roofing and ceiling industry.
Experience: 7 - 10+ years of progressive maintenance management experience in the plastics manufacturing industry (injection, extrusion, or blow molding).
