Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations at our facility.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, repair and upkeep of all property, including machines, mechanical systems, buildings, heating and air-conditioning and other structures.
Responsibilities
Develop a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan for missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively.
Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management.
Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required.
Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
Collaborate with other departments to optimize maintenance processes without disrupting operations.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works
Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the site.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management. An MBA or equivalent is an added advantage.
Minimum of 7 years relevant post-graduation experience.
At least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership and analytical skills.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and mechanical utilities.
Strategic thinking and strong execution skills
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS is an advantage).
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
Good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
