Summary


A restaurant maintenance Officer ensures the proper functioning, safetyand upkeep of all restaurant facilities and equipment.


Key Responsibilities


Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations
Conduct daily inspections of the restaurant facility, including dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and storage spaces, to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or customers, troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as ice machines, soda dispensers, ovens, and lighting
Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and safety issues, and communicate updates to management
Collaborate with restaurant leadership and vendors to order replacement parts or schedule specialized repairs
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all maintenance activities.


Required Skills


Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / HND / Bachelor`s Degree
Proven experience in general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, preferably in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or hospitality environment
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for equipment and facility issues
Good physical strength and stamina to handle manual tasks, lift equipment, and work in various areas of the restaurant
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with staff, management, and vendors.


Work Environment:


Work is performed indoors and outdoors, including kitchens, dining areas,storage rooms, and exterior grounds
The role may involve irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on restaurant operationsneed
2 - 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in restaurants, commercial kitchens, or hospitality settings
This role is essential for maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both staff and customers, ensuring that restaurant operations run smoothly and equipment remains in optimal condition.
