Overall Mission
General objective:
To ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of production equipment through effective preventive and corrective maintenance, timely inspections, and continuous improvement activities in line with company standards, safety regulations, and Lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Execute daily preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to the approved PM schedule.
Conduct routine inspections of production and utility equipment to identify early signs of wear, malfunction, or potential failure.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with standard work procedures and safety regulations.
Execute assigned corrective maintenance work orders based on business and operational priorities.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
Communicate equipment issues and corrective actions clearly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Contribute to improved equipment designs and manufacturing processes by identifying recurring faults and proposing corrective and preventive solutions.
Actively support Lean initiatives aimed at eliminating waste and reducing non-value-added activities within the maintenance function.
Drive reliability improvements to ensure the department consistently works toward being the lowest cost service provider.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure proper completion and closure of work orders in the maintenance system.
Prepare maintenance reports as required and communicate maintenance status to the supervisor.
Effectively schedule tasks and balance competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
Maintain constant communication with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding job progress, challenges, and equipment status.
Regularly check spare parts stock levels related to assigned equipment.
Report low or critical spare parts stock to the supervisor in a timely manner to prevent downtime.
Carry out any additional relevant tasks assigned by the line manager.
Required Skills
Education Degree - Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance (Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent).
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.
Work experience - Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance.
Language skills - English.
Computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook.
