Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution


Develop and implement sourcing strategies for non-IT categories to achieve cost optimization and service excellence.
Lead end-to-end procurement cycles - from requirement gathering, vendor evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and purchase order issuance to delivery and payment coordination.
Analyze spend data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Conduct periodic market assessments and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing and value.


Vendor Management


Identify, onboard, and manage suppliers for all non-IT categories.
Develop strong vendor partnerships while maintaining competitive tension to ensure performance, quality, and compliance.
Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and resolve escalations effectively.


Contract & Compliance Management


Negotiate commercial terms, service levels, and contractual obligations ensuring adherence to company procurement policies and legal frameworks.
Collaborate with the Legal and Finance teams for contract reviews, renewals, and risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with company procurement governance, SOX, and other audit requirements.


Cross-functional Collaboration


Partner with internal stakeholders (Admin, HR, Travel, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Operations) to understand business needs and deliver procurement support aligned to business goals.
Work closely with regional/global procurement teams to align on group-level sourcing strategies and standardization.


Reporting & Analytics


Maintain procurement dashboards and trackers for spend, savings, and supplier performance.
Provide regular reports and insights to management on procurement performance metrics.

Responsibilities


The role requires knowledge of Oracle ERP procurement modules, proficiency in using Power BI dashboards, managing vendor master records, utilizing vendor portals, and overseeing vendor management.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A postgraduate qualification (MBA / CIPS certification) will be an advantage.


8 - 12 years of total procurement experience with at least 4 - 5 years in non-IT/indirect procurement.
Prior experience in managing procurement in a multinational or service-sector environment (preferably BFSI / BPO / shared services / consulting) in South Africa.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of local procurement regulations, BEE requirements, and contract management practices.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
