Detailed description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
Review the analysis and recommendations of the licensing team to ensure compliance with legislative and governance processes.
Contribute to the development of the divisional operational plan and policies.
Develop and implement operational plans for the Licensing Section and manage their implementation.
Manage and provide guidance on the PA's licensing function to ensure the timely and accurate processing of licensing and related applications.
Ensure the continuous improvement of the delivery and functioning of the licensing process
Develop procedures, processes, internal controls and system requirements for the Licensing Section.
Identify and mitigate risks related to the licensing function and ensure compliance with relevant governance frameworks.
Manage staff performance and promote and support career management and development.
Provide integrated management information reports to support decision-making.
Lead and participate in engagements with relevant internal and external stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
Job requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
a minimum of an Honours degree (NQF level 8) in Law or an equivalent qualification in a related field;
at least eight to 10 years' experience in a legal and/or regulatory environment, of which two to three years should be in leading teams; and
admission as an attorney will be an advantage.
