The role will provide a new early-career colleague with practical marketing work experience across campaign execution, reporting, events, digital marketing, stakeholder collaboration and marketing technology. It will also support development of marketing capability while giving the colleague exposure to Sage's Accountants and Small Direct business areas.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
What will the programme look like?
As a Marketing Intern, you will support theÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂïAccountantsÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï+ Small Direct AME marketing team while gaining practical experience across B2B marketing, campaign delivery, digital marketing, events, reporting and customer engagement. The role is designed to balance learning and professional development with meaningful contribution to the team's execution capacity.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Working with the marketing team, the intern will assist with campaign briefs, asset coordination, event and webinar support, reporting inputs, marketing trackers, nurture activity, customer-facing communications and stakeholder follow-up. The role will provide exposure to how Sage engages accountants and small businesses through cloud solutions, digital campaigns, customer journeys, thought leadership, events and performance marketing.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Key Responsibilities Summary of the Role
Support Accountants and Small Direct campaign execution across AME.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Assist with campaign briefs, asset coordination, landing page updates, email/nurture support and customer communications.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Support accountant engagement activity, including roadshows, webinars, certification activity, accounting body programmes and customer spotlights.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Assist with Small Direct demand generation activity linked to Sage Accounting, Sage for Accountants, free trials, onboarding and customer engagement.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Help track campaign, lead, free trial and conversion performance for reporting and optimisation.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Support event and webinar coordination, including registration support, stakeholder follow-up and post-event reporting.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Maintain project trackers, action logs and reporting inputs for marketing interlocks and performance reviews.ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Build practical skills in B2B marketing, digital campaign execution, reporting, stakeholder management and AI-enable
What will make me successful?
A grade 12 matric certificate
You must have a degree or a national diploma qualification in Marketing Management
You must have basic computer skills - Microsoft office
A Clear Criminal record
You must be unemployed
Must have excellent telephonic etiquette
Good understating of customers in the Accounting, Payroll & HR environment
Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and work with internal and external customers
A proactive and motivated attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Excellent communication (both verbal & written)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to support the Customer Operations team.
