We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to take up the role of Marketing Lead. The Marketing Lead will be responsible for planning and executing innovative marketing strategies that drive brand growth and marketplace expansion.

They should possess a strategic and creative mindset, with a strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, and marketplace dynamics. The role involves developing and implementing campaigns that attract and engage customers while also onboarding and retaining quality vendors. The ideal candidate will play a key role in positioning the brand as the go-to destination for all things gifting.

Qualifications and Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
2+ years' experience in marketing, preferably in e-commerce, marketplaces, or lifestyle brands.
Proven success in growth marketing, digital performance, and brand management.
Hands-on experience with SEO, CRM, email automation, and Meta/Google Ads.
Strong creative instincts and storytelling skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities.
Experience with WooCommerce, Shopify, or marketplace CMS platforms is a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, build from scratch environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Brand & Marketing Leadership


Develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy that drives growth across both vendors and consumers.
Lead the company's brand repositioning as Kenya's first curated gifting marketplace
Build brand visibility through storytelling, partnerships, and social media campaigns.
Define and manage marketing KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics.


Marketplace Growth & Vendor Marketing


Create and execute vendor acquisition campaigns targeting small businesses, artisans, and corporate gift suppliers.
Develop onboarding toolkits and marketing materials that support vendor success
Manage vendor retention and engagement programs.


Customer Acquisition & Retention


Drive traffic, leads, and conversions through digital advertising, SEO, social media, and email marketing.
Design campaigns for key gifting moments (e.g., Valentine's, Mother's Day, festive seasons, birthdays).
Develop loyalty and referral programs that enhance customer retention.
Analyze performance data to optimize conversion funnels and customer lifetime value (CLTV).


Content & Community Marketing


Create inspirational gifting content, blog stories, videos, and social features that build community and trust.
Manage influencer partnerships and collaborations that align with the Company's aspirational tone.
Maintain brand consistency and creative excellence across all touchpoints.


Offline & Partnership Marketing


Identify opportunities for the Company to participate in pop-ups, exhibitions, and collaborations with lifestyle brands or corporates.
Manage cross-promotional campaigns that elevate the Company's visibility in Kenya's lifestyle and gifting space.


Data, Insights & Reporting


Track, analyze, and report on marketing KPIs (traffic, conversion, CAC, retention, ROAS).
Use insights to drive continuous improvement and smarter budget allocation.
