We are looking for a Marketing Lead who will champion our growth, brand visibility, and customer engagement across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a strategic, creative, and data-driven storyteller. Someone who understands Kenya's culture, keeps up with local trends, interprets local behavior with ease and know how to make financial content engaging, relatable and exciting. In this role, you'll shape how LendPlus connects with everyday Kenyans, from TikTok, and Instagram trends to matatu talk and influencer conversations transforming insights into marketing campaigns that inspire connection, trust, and action.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans tailored to the Kenyan market to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition for LendPlus Kenya.
Create engaging, locally relevant content that informs, inspires, and sparks meaningful conversations
Lead and oversee social media, influencer partnerships, SEO, paid ads, and content strategy to ensure consistent, compelling messaging across platforms.
Analyze marketing performance data and optimize campaigns for growth, engagement, and ROI.
Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Service, Collections, and Management) to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and seminars to promote brand awareness, strengthen client relationships, and engage with local markets.
Stay ahead of digital innovations and local trends to keep the LendPlus brand fresh, relevant, and connected to everyday Kenyans.
Manage and track the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource use and maximum return.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
2 - 3 years of proven experience in digital marketing - ideally within fintech, financial services, or fast-moving consumer brands.
Demonstrated success in scaling online engagement and conversion campaigns.
Solid understanding of digital tools and platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO/SEM, Analytics, etc.).
Creative, witty, and analytical with a strong sense of Kenyan digital culture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili (and Sheng when the vibe calls for it).
Experience managing digital teams or agencies is an advantage.
