Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute annual marketing and brand plans linked to clear revenue, margin and brand objectives.

Plan integrated campaigns across in-store activation, sampling, partnerships, PR, digital, social, influencers and selected media.
Own the marketing budget, agency commitments and performance reporting; redirect spending when activity is not working.
Set clear standards for briefs, artwork, packaging, campaigns, calendars, approvals and launch governance.
Lead and develop junior marketing staff and external partners, creating stronger accountability and execution discipline.
Represent Norda at relevant consumer, trade, partner and industry forums.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Communications or a related field.
At least 6 years of progressive marketing experience, including real ownership of brands, trade marketing, budgets and launches.
FMCG experience in Kenya or East Africa, with a strong understanding of local consumers and routes to market.
Demonstrated ability to translate consumer and market insights into successful brand strategies and measurable commercial outcomes.
Strong commercial and numerical judgement, including budgets, margins, pricing logic, campaign measurement and business cases.
Experience leading agencies, suppliers and junior team members while raising standards and accountability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English, Kiswahili and strong Kenyan cultural fluency are valuable.
Comfort with spreadsheets, presentations, digital analytics, research tools and responsible use of AI to improve marketing productivity.

What Success Looks Like:

Priority brands grow profitably and have clear, differentiated plans.
Launches are genuinely ready, arrive on time and achieve agreed trial, distribution, repeat and financial outcomes.
Marketing investment has defined objectives and measurable returns.
Consumer and market insight changes decisions rather than merely producing reports.
The marketing team and agencies deliver higher-quality work with less chasing and fewer avoidable delays.

You will thrive here if you are:

Commercial: you connect marketing activity to revenue, margin and long-term brand value.
Growth- Oriented: you make choices and move work forward without waiting to be chased.
Consumer-led: you stay close to what people actually want, buy and experience.
Creatively discerning: you recognize distinctive ideas and protect execution quality.
Analytically disciplined: you test assumptions and use evidence without hiding behind data.
Collaborative but accountable: you align people, challenge constructively and close loops.
