The role


Santam's Brand and Marketing team is seeking a commercially astute and growth-oriented Marketing Manager to support Strategic Partnerships and Kandua.
This is a strategic marketing leadership role supporting ecosystem growth, platform scaling, and enterprise partnerships. The role will be based at either the Head Office in Bellville, CPT or the Santam Office in Sandton, JHB.
The role will report to the Head: Brand and Marketing but will directly work with and support Santam Strategic Partnership and Kandua


What will you do?


This role sits at the intersection of brand, ecosystem growth, and commercial enablement. The successful candidate will translate partnership and platform ambitions into measurable brand equity, demand generation, and revenue impact while ensuring alignment with Santam Group Brand standards.
To drive growth, trust, and market preference for Strategic Partnership and Kandua by building, managing, and extracting value from strategic partnerships, while elevating the brand proposition across priority customer segments and partners. This role sits at the intersection of partner ecosystem development, brand marketing, and commercial enablement, ensuring partnerships translate into measurable brand outcomes and revenue impact.

The role spans two interconnected mandates:

Strategic Partnerships Marketing


Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy that enables profitable growth for Strategic Partnership. This includes, but is not limited to marketing strategy development, planning and execution within the guidelines of the Santam Group's overall Brand and Marketing strategy:


Drive marketing enablement and positioning across Santam's partner ecosystem, including:


B2B and B2C partnership marketing
Embedded insurance and ecosystem propositions
Value proposition articulation across different distribution environments
Cross-sell and portfolio penetration enablement
Partner co-marketing and co-branding frameworks


Key Outcomes:


Clear and differentiated partner positioning
Growth in partner-led revenue
Increased adoption and penetration across partner bases
Measurable brand impact within partner ecosystems


Kandua Marketing


Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy that enables profitable growth for Kandua. This includes, but is not limited to marketing strategy development, planning and execution within the guidelines of the Santam Group's overall Brand and Marketing strategy

A leading property services platform
The infrastructure layer for property services

Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy for Strategic Partnerships and Kandua
Translate insurance propositions into partner-aligned narratives
Align all activity to Santam Brand governance and strategy
Build measurable growth frameworks

Influence of senior stakeholders including Exco level leaders
Develop and manage annual marketing budgets
Build AI-enabled, data driven marketing processes

Qualification and experience


Relevant 3 years Bachelor's business/marketing degree or equivalent
At least 8 to 10 years related marketing experience,
Minimum 4 years in financial services, B2B/B2C marketing with a proven track-record of strategic marketing capabilities.
Thorough knowledge of the advertising, media and digital industries across all marketing disciplines and digital platforms


Proven experience in:


Developing and executing digital content, retention and attraction strategies.
Ecosystem or partnership marketing
Digital performance marketing
Enterprise marketing
Marketplace or platform models
Thorough understanding of the advertising agency processes and work methods
